Preshias Personal Note: This column is a little shorter (and later) than usual. It’s been a challenging few weeks with doctor visits, CT scans and MRIs ending with a biopsy of my liver, two urgent Emergency Room visits and hospital admission for severe abdominal pain requiring an emergency procedure. The good news: no evidence of liver or pancreatic cancer, but a LOT of pain. Despite my many health issues over the years, I’ve always managed to publish/post Inside Track on Music Row, America’s longest continuously-running monthly Country music column, and I wasn’t going to let this latest challenge break that 30+ year run! Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Publicists: please send your media releases to me at this address: nashhvillemusicline@gmail.com

ALBUM & EP NEWS
KYLE CLARK

KYLE CLARK: Just ahead of Memorial Day weekend Kyle Clark has released your summer soundtrack. The Platinum-certified songwriter, producer, and rising artist’s new 10-track album Better On A Boat is a laid-back, coastal-inspired country record made for long weekends on the water. Stream Better On A Boat here.
Alongside the album release, Kyle spotlights the project’s title track, “Better On A Boat” — a breezy coastal country anthem built around freedom, connection, and soaking up life’s simple moments. With vivid scenes of sunlit water, cold drinks, good company, and summer stretching endlessly overhead, the track pairs relaxed island-inspired production with heartfelt storytelling and romance. Easygoing yet deeply nostalgic, “Better On A Boat” captures the feeling of leaving the noise behind, embracing the moment, and finding peace somewhere out on the water.
Clark blends island ease with Southern grit — a duality that shapes both his sound and Better On A Boat. Produced and mixed by Clark and mastered by Sam Moses, the project leans deeper into his beach-forward lane within the genre.
Previously released singles from Better On A Boat — “Checking Out,” “Me, God And The Ocean,” “Blame It On The Sun,” “Dock And A Hard Place,” “Fake Dead In Fiji,” and “Florida On My Mind” — reflect Clark’s coastal-country perspective, capturing the easygoing rhythms and playful spirit of life by the water throughout the record. THOMAS CSORBA

THOMAS CSORBA has released his new album Tender Country via the newly-launched Turtlebox Records. (Pre-order / pre-save album here.) His third studio album, Tender Country, is country music uninterested in posturing, guided instead by tenderness, humor, and an acceptance of impermanence. That mentality comes across acutely in his new single, “The Big Time” (stream here), a gorgeous country ballad that poignantly illustrates the hardships of a life on the road and the family milestones you can miss along the way.
Csorba on the new single: “This song is the most honest song on the record. It’s a song that sits right there on the edge of the cliff of giving up. I figured there’s no other way to start but by addressing the elephant in the room. How does someone who values his stable home life and family reconcile that with his life as a travelling musician?”
Born in Houston, Texas and now rooted in Dallas, Thomas Csorba writes country music that feels less like performance and more like witness. The songs on Tender Country are deeply invested in the emotional architecture of family life. Marriage, routine, fatigue, joy, and discovery are all treated with equal seriousness. In Csorba’s hands, washing dishes and falling in love again become similar acts of quiet devotion. Tender Country follows Csorba’s 2024 release Windchimes. ALELA DIANE

ALELA DIANE: Who’s Keeping Time? Is the title of the seventh full-length album from Alela Diane. The Portland songwriter’s new project came as the consequence of intuition, coincidence, and community. “I came to the end of a season last year,” Alela shares. “My daughters had grown a bit. I no longer had babies waking me in the middle of the night. I could hear myself think again.” More and more, those thoughts circled music. Play / stream Who’s Keeping Time? here.
Diane is keenly aware of time passing, the unrelenting flow of seasons, the flower’s fleeting bloom—but what she cares about most deeply, is now. Don’t forget to go outside / To feel the wind / To breathe the cold air / The winter branches in these bones / Know when to bloom / Know when to bear, she sings on album standout “In My Own Time.” More than a decade into one of contemporary folk’s most quietly extraordinary careers, and emerging from her own kind of artistic winter, Alela returns rich with fruit.
The songs of Who’s Keeping Time? range from lulling to raw to cinematic, with Alela’s mellifluous voice a lively and affecting instrument throughout. Alela almost always writes from personal experience, her lyrics sparkling vulnerable, as on “Dusty Roses,” “Wide Open Spaces,” and perhaps most palpably, “To Be Kind.” Tour dates and more at aleladiane.com and on Facebook and Instagram.
McCOY MOORE

McCOY MOORE: Sunshine State is the title of the debut album from McCoy Moore – an apt title for an artist whose music evokes the laid-back ambience of Florida. With a style rooted in the charm of his Central-Florida home, Sony Music Entertainment’s Moore makes country music so radiant and relaxed it should come with SPF 50. Listen to Sunshine State here.
Through beaming baritone vocals and a warm sonic glow, the singer-songwriter embodies the land of perpetual summer, complete with its easy-does-it code of humble sincerity. On Sunshine State, produced by hit maker Will Bundy (Riley Green, Ella Langley, Thomas Rhett), the Lakeland native shows Florida is much more than a vacation destination – it’s the place that made him the artist he is.
A lifelong country fan schooled on late ‘90s and early 2000s radio, Kenny Chesney (his first concert), Tim McGraw, and Keith Whitley were the soundtrack to travel baseball and day trips to the beach, before a chance encounter with Luke Combs in 2017 helped propel Moore to Nashville at 19 years old. Wrapping nostalgic real-life stories in a rich, resonate country baritone, he began releasing music in 2025 with tracks like “Something to You,” and has now accumulated more than 17 million global streams while touring with HARDY, Kip Moore, and Chase Rice. Visit McCoyMooreMusic.com; follow Moore on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

ANNE WILSON

ANNE WILSON: Platinum-certified, Grammy-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson took home the Book Impact Award at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards for her “Hey Girl” 40-Day Devotional. Created to help young women discover their true worth and unshakable identity in Christ, the devotional continues to make a meaningful impact with fans across the country.
Accepting the award from stage, Wilson shared, “I wrote this out of a place of needing to remind myself of who I am in Jesus, and that my identity is not the person that I am on stage or what I do for a living, but it is of who I am as a daughter of the Most High King. I want to remind all of the beautiful girls out there that you are so loved and that your identity is that you are a daughter of Jesus. It’s not about what you do, it’s not what people say about you, it’s who Jesus calls you to be. All glory to God.”
The win arrives just days before Wilson introduces her next literary chapter with Rebel: Following Jesus When the World Walks the Other Way, set for release on June 9.

SINGLE NEWS
BARKER. BARR & DAWN

BARKER, BARR & DAWN: Country songbirds Megan Barker, Lockwood Barr, and Kimberly Dawn have released their debut single, “3 Girls Walk Into a Bar,” via United Masters distribution. It is available now at major digital retailers.
Written by Megan Barker, Lockwood Barr, Kimberly Dawn, and Greg Friia, “3 Girls Walk Into a Bar” was mixed by Kevin Willis and produced and mastered by Kent Wells (Dolly Parton). The track features Kent Wells on acoustic guitar and banjo, Steve Brewster on drums, Dave Fowler on bass guitar, Dane Bryant on keys, and Justin Ostranderon electric guitar. Opening with a funky loping guitar riff, and a rock-solid downbeat, the ladies spend the next few minutes setting the stage for some playful and mischievous shenanigans during a night out on the town.
“Three girls walk into a bar / We’re turnin’ heads like Hollywood stars / Hot damn left my cash in the car / Don’t worry girl, free drinks ain’t far”
The girls are definitely having a good time, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t dead serious about it (insert tongue firmly in cheek). Barker, Barr, and Dawn are all accomplished songwriters and performers in their own right, and each maintain successful solo careers who debuted the song last fall at The Hotel Café in Los Angeles. Find more about Kim, Lockwood and Megan “3 Girls Walk Into a Bar” here.
LAKELIN LEMMINGS

LAKELIN LEMMINGS: Rising country artist Lakelin Lemmings is embracing freedom, confidence and the beauty of growing up on her own terms with the release of her new single, “19 & Single,” available everywhere May 15, just one day before her 20th birthday. Stream / pre-save “19 & Single” here. Blending youthful honesty with modern country edge, “19 & Single” captures a generation learning that there’s no rush to settle down. The empowering country waltz opens with acoustic guitar and mandolin before building into a soaring, defiant chorus layered with electric-guitar power chords and undeniable confidence.
“‘19 & Single’ is about being comfortable where you are in life,” says Lemmings. “There’s so much pressure on young people to have everything figured out, but this song celebrates freedom, independence and enjoying life exactly as it is.”
Written by Neal Coty, Ash Bowers and Lakelin Lemmings, the track was produced by Bowers, known for producing Matt Stell’s multi-Platinum No. 1 hit “Prayed For You.” Coty is celebrated for penning classics including “She Was” by Mark Chesnutt.
Released on the final day of her teenage years, “19 & Single” serves as both a personal milestone and a coming-of-age anthem — one that blends classic country instrumentation with a fresh perspective from one of the genre’s emerging young voices. WALKER MONTGOMERY

WALKER MONTGOMERY: Emerging hitmaker Walker Montgomery tips his hat to the hopeless romantics with his new single, “I Don’t Think I Will,” out now on Red Street Records. Stream here and watch here.
The ballad taps into that all-too-common feeling of meeting the one who might actually be the one and grappling with how real those feelings are, knowing this time there’s just no turning back. The song, written by Doug Johnson and produced by Bart Butler, perfectly captures that moment of surrender when the heart wins out over the head once and for all, and Montgomery’s sweetly simple delivery demonstrates why he’s one of the standout neo-traditionalists rising through the ranks of the country scene today. The track is at once fresh and yet tenderly familiar like an old jukebox favorite, which is no doubt the singer’s special sauce and the reason he’s so good at an old fashioned, straight-to-the-heart love song for the ages.
“Classic sounding country love songs are back! ‘I Don’t Think I Will’ has always been one of my favorite songs. Being able to give this song a whole new life and introduce it to a new generation is something I’ve been really looking forward to,” says Montgomery.
Fans can catch Montgomery performing at CMA Music Fest on June 4th on the Chevy Vibes Stage. Tour dates and more here; follow Montgomery on Instagram, Facebook and X.
